James Johnson- Hurdles
Started running track in 2006 when he ran for Campbell Junior High. Currently he’s going into his junior year where he has been a 2 year varsity hurdler at Gilbert High School. As a sophomore James competed in the NAU Lumberjack invite. In the first year of the Gilbert Track Club he was one of 2 athletes to qualify for Nationals where he finished 25th. He is a team captain for both Gilbert High School and the Gilbert Track Club

-Part of the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team that missed breaking the 12 year old district record by less than a second
2008
-Finished 9th in the 5a D1 Fiesta Region meet
-Finished 3rd in the 110m hurdles at the Gilbert/Higley/Queen Creek City meet at freshman level
-Finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles at the Gilbert/Higley/Queen Creek City meet at the freshman level
-Finished 7th in the 300m hurdles at the Freshman Showcase
-Member of the 6th place 4x400m relay at the Freshman Showcase
2009
-Finished 9th in the 60m hurdles at the Lumberjack Invite
-Finished 4th in the 400m at the USATF Indoor Classic
-Finished 2nd in the 60m hurdles at the USATF Indoor Classic
-Competed in the Seeded division at the Chandler Rotary in the 300m hurdles
-Member of the 3rd place shuttle hurdle relay team at Basha Relays
-Finished 6th in the 110m hurdles at the Gilbert/Higley/Queen Creek City meet at the Varsity level
-Finished 4th in the 300m Hurdles at the Gilbert/Higley/Queen Creek City meet at the Varsity level
-Finished 8th in the 300m Hurdles at the Fiesta Region meet
-Finished 21st in the 300m hurdles at the 5a D1 Arizona High School State meet
-Finished 6th in the 400m at the USATF Arizona JO State meet as Intermediate Boy
-Finished 2nd in the 400m Hurdles at the USATF Arizona JO State meet as Intermediate Boy
-Finished 3rd in the 400m Hurdles at the USATF JO Region X meet as Intermediate Boy
-Finished 25 in the 400m hurdles at the USATF JO National meet as Intermediate Boy
